Ep 85 | Accenture Employees to Webflow Enterprise Agency Founders | with Tim Janes & Dan FosterToday my guests are Tim Janes and Dan Foster, co-founders of MakeBuild Studio - a design and innovation studio from London in the UK. Tim’s background as a visual designer and Dan’s background digital designer and UX consultant meant these 2 were a power duo when starting Makebuild 4 years ago. Though they have designed and built a lotttt of Webflow websites, they have also been experimenting emerging technologies like AR. In fact, recently, they made an AR project with Fruitella - the sweet brand. To help launch a new jelly sweets, they created a world and then select a creature which you could see in your living room on your phone screen. Makebuild have recently hired Liam Mews and Greg Faulkner so they’re flying high and growing a team but we want to know about how they got here don’t we?! The failures that we’ll talk about in this episode are: 1) Not scaling up the team early enough 2) Not niching down early enough 3) Not focusing on producing great work
